Statement on WA Fatality

The MCA is deeply saddened by the fatality at the Gold Fields’ Saint Ives operation near Kambalda in Western Australia’s Goldfields.

The MCA extends its sympathies to the family, friends and workmates of the miner, as well as the wider Gold Fields community.

Safety is the highest priority for our industry. The minerals industry will continue to work hard towards eliminating fatalities, injuries, and occupational illnesses.
