Fatality in Port Hedland

The MCA is deeply saddened by the tragic fatality involving a BHP worker at Port Hedland on Tuesday 7 February and expresses our condolences to all who have been impacted by it.

Our thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased worker.

Safety is the most important issue for our industry. This tragic event is a reminder of the need to always prioritise safety above all else. We should never accept any situation where anyone who goes to work is not able to return home safely.
