All employers should note the report with alarm.

Harassment of any kind has no place in the minerals industry – or any workplace.

Our industry’s first commitment is to the safety, health and wellbeing of our people – we believe that every individual should work in a safe, respectful environment.

The MCA commends the Commissioner on bringing these cases to light.

The MCA welcomes the comprehensive recommendations which proposes a new approach for government, employers and the community to better prevent and respond to sexual harassment in the workplace.

The MCA will work with its members and across the broader industry and community on the Commissioner’s recommendations.
